The idea of using an undercarriage is to mount, wire and program the gate panels and all the accessories before shipping so the installation is as easy as cutting a 6-inch wide trench across the driveway with a couple of cuts on each side.

Using the undercarriage guarantees that the posts and gate panels will align and function smoothly as opposed to augering holes and cementing in the posts at the exact height and distance apart.

It can actually save you money as well as time and efficiency in the install process when cementing in gate and fence posts.

The gate package can be placed in the 20-inch deep trench that is filled and packed down, ready to function as soon as it is connected to a power source (which can be solar if you like).
